Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of both the customer service and the business work efficiency, by providing the bit memory showing the overflow of the counter and then printing the value of the overflow bit memory in the special code when the output of the counter contents is printed.

CONSTITUTION: The numerical value supplied via data key 11-1 is stored in arithmetic buffer 23 via key deciding circuit 2 and arithmetic control circuit 22. Circuit 22 sums up the data of buffer 23 and the data stored in counter memory 25 based on the control instruction given from function key 11-2, and these data are written again into memory 25. In case the arithmetic result of circuit 22 has an overflow, the arithmetic result is written into prescribed counters 25-1 and so on. And at the same time, overflow detecting circuit 24 writes 1 into overflow bit memories 25-1' and so on corresponding to the counters such. With push of the close inspection of key 11-2, the contents of the close inspection is printed on journal 13. And the special mark is printed at the area of overflow in e.g. the red ink. As a result, the transaction can be performed continuously regardless of the occurrence of an overflow.
