PURPOSE:To obtain a high-specific elastic modulus and high-internal loss diaphragm, by using fibers (TS fibers), which are synthesized and spun from the all aromatic polyamide copolymer including tolidine sulfone (TS), as composite reinforcing materials. CONSTITUTION:TS fibers of fiber length 1.5-5mm. are mixed as reinforcing materials at the ratio of 5-20wt% into the high-density polyethylene base material, and they are heated, and a cold-pressed diaphragm for speaker is formed at the time when the polyethylene base materials above is softened. Dispersibility of TS fibers is best for fiber length 1.5-2mm.. TS fibers have high elastic modulus and internal loss, and dispersibility is good for fiber length 4mm. or less. Therefore, the cut speed of fibers is high in comparison with Kevlar-49, and TS fibers are advantageous to mass production.
