Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the utilization of a transmission line with efficiency by adequately coping with a fault by making it possible to recognize the state of each station by sending status information on a fault of a station from a slot synchronizer to the transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Synchronizer 8 and stations 9-1-9-3 are connected to transmission line 3 in a loop by way of transmission-reception part 4 of synchronizer 8 and transmission-reception parts 4 of respective stations 9-1-9-3. Then, respective stations 9-1-9-3 are provided with slots S1-S3 for transmission and reception of data, and synchronizer 8 is provided with circuit 10 that generates slot S4 for information transmission and reception in addition to output part 11 that sends the contents of received slot S4 from transmission line 3 with the following slot S4, thereby detecting the contents of this slot S4 by circuits 12 of stations 9-1-9-3. On the basis of information from circuit 12, controllers 13 of stations 9-1-9-3 check the state of slot S4 and then stop information transmission to a fault station among stations 9-1-9-3.
