Abstract
PURPOSE:To transmit data from slave stations placed in the master station side of the faulty point even if the fault occurs in a certain slave station, by connecting a light emitting diode for receiving and a transistor for returning, which are connected to a constant voltage or constant current circuit, in directions opposite to each other to constitute a transmitting and receiving circuit of the slave station. CONSTITUTION:In case of data transmission from a master station 1 to a slave station 2 or 3, a transistor 12 is turned on and off through a photocoupler 11 to transmit data to a photocoupler 21 connected to a constant voltage circuit (or a constant current circuit) 22 in the slave station 2 or 3. Meanwhile, in case of data return from the slave station 2 or 3 to the master station 1, a photocoupler 111 in the master station 1 is turned on, and a photocoupler 15 is turned on. Under this state, a photocoupler 27 in the slave station 2 or 3 is turned on and off in accordance with return data to transfer this return data to a photocoupler 16 in the master station 1. Consequently, even if a fault occurs in the slave station 3, data transmission between the slave station 2 and the master station 1 is not troubled by the action of the constant voltage circuit 22.
