Abstract

PURPOSE: To compressively mold swarf continuously and automatically to a block shape by relatively moving a bar-form cradle and a receiving cylinder upward and downward in such a manner that the pressurizing cover which opens, closes and press-contacts the swarf charging port of the receiving cylinder fitting to the cradle and the cradle are brought close to each other.
CONSTITUTION: When a loading chute 24 is advanced up to right above a receiving cylinder 14 by the operation of a cylinder 25 for moving chute forward and backward, a gate opening cylinder 27 operates to move an opening gate 26 upward, thereby flowing the swarf 20 in an intermediate chute 23 into the receiving cylinder 14. After a fixed time, the gate 26 again descends and when the chute 24 retreats again, the swarf 20 in a hopper 21 is fed at a fixed rate into the chute 23. Parallel to this, a molding cylinder 18 operates and a pressurizing over 17 closes the charging port 16. Further it descends by overcoming the upward pressing force of a bed plate 13 by a bed plate elevating cylinder 15, hence the swarf 20 is press-contacted to a compression molding 30. After the bed plate 13 is lowered together with the receiving cylinder 14, the molding 30 is ejected onto a transfer-out chut 31 by a sending- off cylinder 32.
