Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an exhaust gas sampler that can hold effectively a filter above a dew point temperature, by holding the filter part above the dew point temperature of exhaust gas by a heat pipe provided in a flue.
CONSTITUTION: To prevent exhaust gas from condensing in inside filter chamber 9 by holding soaking tube 8 above a dew point temperature, heat pipe 6 is provided which entends axially with its center part in hermetic contact with the outer circumference of soaking tube 8. Then, heat reception part 2 of the heat pipe in the flue is heated with flue gas to keep the filter part, consisting of filter chamber 9 and filter 10, warm by heating at the center part through soaking tube 8, and further excessive heat is radiated by radiation part 3 exposed out of the flue so as to hold the filter part above the dew point. Additionally, flange 24 is enabled to move on external protective tube 23 and the effective length of heat reception part 2 is adjusted to regulate the quantity of received heat of heat reception part 2 by a temperature change of exhaust gas. Thus, the performance of an exhaust gas sampler can be improved.
