Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a paste solution which excels in adhesive force, penetration properties and fungal resistance, by a method wherein water is left to stand in an electrically conductive water tank which is insulated against the ground, high AC voltage is applied to the water tank for a predetermined period of time to treat electrostatically water and then paste is dissolved in the treated water.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a water tank made from an electrically conductive material such as stainless steel, which is electrically insulated against the ground by insulators 2. Only one end W1 of the secondary winding 4 of a step-up transformer 3 which generates high voltage is connected to he water tank 1. Another end W2 of the secondary winding 4 is insulated. The primary winding 5 of the transformer is connected through a switch S to the terminal U, V of an AC power source. Water is left to stand in the water tank 1. High AC voltage (e.g. a voltage to ground of 3.8kVA) is electostatically applied to the water tank 1 by opening and closing the switch S to treat water. After treating water for 3hr or more, paste is dissoled in the treated water as a solvent to obtain a paste solution which excels in adhesive force and penetration properties, has a uniform compsn. and fungal resistance.
