Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize the number of blowholes at the weld points by applying the tandem submerged arc welding employing two electrodes at a fixed space when welding the outer frame made of corrugated steel plate on the circumference of the stator core. CONSTITUTION:The tandem submerged arc employing two electrodes 16A and 16B arranged at a fixed space L is applied as the welding method of the outer frame made of corrugated steel plate forming the cooling fin on the circumference of the stator core 3. Besides, the submerged arc welding, the MAG welding may be applied. With such an arrangement, the blowhole 20 yielded on the weld section can be rewelded with the second electrode 16B when the core material is thickly coated with organic matter or the stator core after varnished. This procedure lessens the generation of blowhole at the weld part.
