Abstract
PURPOSE:To make adjustment of convergence quickly with good accuracy, by detecting a pattern for compensation on the screen for the convergence adjustment of a color TV receiver and detecting the compensation amount per patten with a TV camera for compensation. CONSTITUTION:A deflection circuit 21 scans electron beams via a deflection yoke 22 in synchronizing with incoming synchronizing signals. A video circuit 27 picture dot patterns from a pattern generator 16 at the convergence adjustment on a screen 32 via a projective type receiving tube 26. In a control section 28, the adjusting point and order making the convergence compensation is stored. Further, the convergence shift is detected with a TV camera 30 in synchronizing with the deflection circuit 21, and the amount of compensation is written in the memory of a digital convergence section 24 with a detected signal. This compensation amount is automatically adjusted every adjusting point by the control section 28 as to, e.g., the green and red positions, until the output of a convergence coincidence detection section 31 is reduced to zero.
