Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform skew correction accurately, by changing the width of window pulse set at the detection of information of one track of one information section according to other track information detection.

CONSTITUTION: For example, the information of any track from 1Wn tracks is fed from the OR circuit 22, then FF24 in the window block 2 and FF54 in the detection circuit 5 are respectively set and reset. Further, FF24 is reset with the counter 64 counting the given constant of the high speed clocks of the frequency division circuit 4 via the AND gate 61 of the window reset generating circuit 6 to control the transfer block 3 in response to the window pulse of a given width by FF25. If the information from the tracks 2W(n-1) from the OR circuit 21 is detected within this window pulse period, F54 is set to count the low frequency clock from the circuit via FF52 by the counter 64, allowing to correct and recognize the information having greater skew with the window pulse having greater width through the change in the residual window pulse width.
