  • Exhaust Gas Treatment By Means Of Catalyst (AREA)

Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize latent heat of CO in waste gas by regenerating CO oxidizing catalyst using waste gas of sintering produced in manufacturing process of sintered ore and bringing the waste gas in contact with the catalyst of activated state.
CONSTITUTION: Waste gas 1, about 150°C in temperature, produced in manufacturing process of sintered ore is desulfurized and is heated to about 310°C by passing through a heat exchanger 2. A part 1a of this waste gas is mixed with air 3 and made to high temperature gas 6 by burning fuel 5 in a heating furnace 4. The remaining part 1b of the waste gas 1 is mixed with said high temperature gas to make the temperature to about 300W360°C and made to flow into one of oxidizing reactors 8, 9 through a changing-over valve 7 to oxidize CO in the waste gas. It is then flowed into a denitrating device 10 for denitration. Further, it is cooled by passing through the above-mentioned heat exchanger 2 and discharged to outside. Air heated to about ≥300°C is introduced into another oxidizing reactors 8, 9 from a heat source 11 through a purging device 12 to regenerate the CO oxidizing catalyst.
