Abstract

CONSTITUTION: For example, three electromagnetic pickups 2 are provided near teeth of gear 1 fitted to the rotation shaft. These pickups 2 are fitted with the phase shifted for the pitch of teeth by Ψ and 2Ψ. Outputs of respective pickups 2 become differentiation signals through a waveform shaping equipment and a differentiating equipment and are led to an adder and are added. As a result, since the pulse signal for every one rotation of the rotation shaft can be increased three times, the number of rotations can be detected accurately even in the range of a low speed of the rotation shaft.
