Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the toner concn. in the developer after the end of developing accurately in a short time by delaying the flow of the developer by means of a guide plate provided above a scraper plate, and providing a sensor in the position where the developer attains the steady state. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 15 of such a length which covers a part of a scraper plate 7 is disposed above said plate, and a sensor 14 for detecting con. is provided between the two. In this constitution, the developer scraped off from a nonmagnetic sleeve 2 by the plate 7 is divided in the directions of the arrow A, B. Whilist the flow of A is fast, the flow of B retards near sensor 14, and quickly attains the steady state during the time till the next rotation of the sleeve 2. Therefore, the sensor 14 quickly responds in the short time from the developing till the next developing, so that the toner concns. are detected accurately at every developing cycle.
