Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a titled device compact by having a cleaning member abutting on an image carrying body, a nonmagnetic cylinder enclosing a magnetic roller, and a removed developer recovering vessel having a wall connecting to the nonmagnetic cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The wiper 2 of an elastic body cleaning member slides on a drum 1 which is rotating in the direction of an arrow 4, so that the toner 3 stuck on the surface of the drum 1 is collected to the front face thereof. A magnetic roller 5 is placed in parallel with the drum 1 on the immediate upper stream of the wiper 2 position in the drum rotating direction, and N poles and S poles are arranged in parallel to the roller 5 on its axis, and rotate in the direction of an arrow 6. The magnetic roller 5 is enclosed by a cylinder 7 of a nonmagnetic material. The toner collected just before the wiper 2 sticks on the surface of the cylinder 7 and moves in the direction of an arrow 8. The cylinder 7 is fixed to the wall of a recovering vessel 10 and the toner moving in the direction of the arrow 8 collides against the wall 9, and arrives at the bottom 11 of the vessel, where the toner moves in the direction of an arrow 20 and is thereby accumulated.
