Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a high-reliability level indicator element having a connection part which is stable electrically and mechanically and has a good work efficiency, by press-fixing the solderless terminal consisting of a good conductor for electricity to a superconductive line and by connecting a lead wire and so on to this terminal by soldering.
CONSTITUTION: Solderless terminals 13a, 13b, 14a and 14b consists of cylindrical copper and are press-fixed mechanically after inserted to superconductive line 1 which has the surface polished by an abrasive paper. Solderless terminals 13a, 13b, 14a and 14b are connected to heater 3 and lead wires 4b, 5a and 5b by normal soldering dependent upon Pb-Sn. The connected part obtained in this manner is press-fixed more strongly than press-fixing at a room temperature and increases the electrical and mechanical junction degree even if it is dipped in liquid helium because the degree of thermal shrinkage of copper is larger than that of superconductive line 1. Thus, reliability of the level indicator element can be improved.
