Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform sure inspection by heating or cooling the packing gland part provided for the thermocouple temp. measuring element of a rotary electric machine using an internally sealed gaseous hydrogen or the like as a refrigerant and performing inspection by making use of the temp. thereof. CONSTITUTION:A thermocouple temp. measuring element 1 consisting of two kinds of metals is connected to a packing gland part 3 by compensating conductors 2a, 2b, and is further conducted by compensating conductors 4a, 4b to a measuring device 5, by which the temp. T1 of the temp. measuring part is measured. The connection points of the part 3 are at the point A on the inner side of a rotary electric machine and the point B on the outer side of the machine, and the measured temps. thereof coincide respectively with the temp. T1 of the temp. measuring part irrespectively of ambient temps. T2, T3. Hence, the points A, B of the connection points of the part 3 are cooled by the ice water put in bags or heated by hot water or the like, by which a temp. difference is created among the temps. T1, T2, T3 and the inspection of the points of connection of the packing gland 3 is made easy.
