Abstract

A method of measuring the root-mean-square value of voltage consists in converting the measured voltage into a heat flow, converting a reference voltage into a cooling flow, adjusting the reference voltage so that the heat flow resulting from the measured voltage is compensated by way of its absorption in the cooling flow resulting from the reference voltage, under the conditions of thermal insulation from the influence of the environmental medium, and in determining the root-mean-square value of the measured voltage on the value of the reference voltage.
