Abstract

PURPOSE:To select a cassette which contains copying paper of desired size automatically, by providing a collating function part which collates a size signal for copying paper from each cassette with a desired specified-size signal. CONSTITUTION:A size signal 1 for copying paper in the 1st cassette and a size signal of the 2nd cassette are supplied to a collating function part 3 on turning-on the switch of a copying machine. On the other hand, when a desired copying paper size is specified with a specifying switch, the specified size signal 4 is also supplied to the collating part 3 at the same time. When either of the size signals 1 and 2 does not coincide with information of the specified size signal 4, the display showing that there is no specified size. When whey coincide, a corresponding cassette is selected. Thus, the cassette containing copying paper of desired size is selected automatically. Therefore, the mistake in selecting a copying paper size is prevented.
