Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve radiation characteristics by decreasing the esternal diameter of a dielectric rod so that a higher mode will not be generated even in a high frequency band among frequency bands. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric rod 3 is inserted into a packing part 5c, and consequently a cutoff frequency is lowered, so a waveguide internal diameter d2 is made less than that of a hollow part 5a. To widen frequency band most, the waveguide internal diameter d2 of the packing part 5c is decreases as much as possible while a cutoff is avoided. The decrease the waveguide internal diameter d2 most, the cutoff frequency of the hollow part 5a is equalized to that of the packing part 5c.
