Abstract

PURPOSE: To make stable powder compression possible and to perform molding of various shapes by providing a stop valve to the valve seat communicating an upper cylinder chamber and an oil tank, and providing a switching valve to a circuit connecting upper and lower cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: Just prior to starting of compression, a push rod 22 forces the spool 122 of an upper cylinder 12, and pushes the valve seat 127 provided to a piston by a valve part 26. If a switching valve 14 provided to the circuit is in an X position at time when the oil in the cylinder 12 is to be fed to a lower cylinder 13 after the start of compression, the oil is injected to the pressure receiving surfacess 13A, 13B of the cylinder 13, and the extent of movement of a lower piston rod 131 corresponding to the extent of descending of an upper ram 2 is determined. When the valve 14 is in a Y position, the oil is returned into an oil tank 19, and only the upper punch 5 operates.
