CONSTITUTION:In a rotary magnetic head device for VTRs which scans a magnetic tape by rotating a rotary magnetic head 21 at prescribed number of revolutions, the projecting part of a lower cylinder 27 is disposed in the central hole parts of the rotor 25 of a rotary transformer and the stator 26 of the rotary transformer and an upper bearing 28 is disposed therein, whereby the span between the upper and lower bearings 28, 29 is taken longer without increasing the overall height of the cylinder.
