Abstract

PURPOSE: To direct and follow a solar energy collector toward the sun by providing paired incompressible fluid housing chambers at the symmetrical position of the rotation center of a heat source director for a solar energy collector, used in air conditioner or hot water supplier, and turning its solar energy-receiving face by the thermal expansion of the fluid.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of incompressible fluid housing chambers 4a and 4b are provided in the longitudinal direction on both sides of a heat receiving tank 1 through heat insulators 5, and heat absorbers 7a and 7b are provided to the upsides of the chambers 4a and 4b and a large number of heat-radiating plates 6 are hung down in the chambers 4a and 4b. Reflecting plates 8a and 8b are erected in the longitudinal direction on the upper both sides of the chambers 4a and 4b, and the inside reflecting faces are crossed to the faces of the heat absorbers 7a and 7b. At the lower center of said heat receiving tank 1, an incompressible fluid housing chamber 9 is provided and supported rotatably on a shaft 13 by a bearing 11. The housing chamber 9 is divided into two compartments 9a and 9b which are communicated to the housing chambers 4a and 4b through pipes 10a and 10b. The liquid chamber sides of cylinders 15a and 15b provided between support pieces 14a and 14b fixed to the outer wall of the housing chamber 9 and a support plate 17 on a fixing base are led to the bottoms of the compartments 9a and 9b through pipes 18a and 18b, while the air chamber sides of the cylinders 15a and 15b are communicated to each other through a pipe 19.
