Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the horizontal space for installation of a heat-accumulating tank, to reduce and make uniform the power of a pump and to enhance the operating efficiency of the system by a method wherein the heat-accumulating tank for cooling and heating is arranged in the shape of a tower comprised of an upper hot- water zone, an intermediate water zone of variable capacity and a lower cold-water zone, and the hot-water zone is connected with the cold-water zone by a heat-source side closed circuit and a load-side closed circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The hot-water zone 2 is provided at the upper part of the heat- accumulating tank 1, while the cold-water zone 3 is provided at the lower part of the tank 1, and the intermediate water zone 4 of variable capacity is provided between the zones 2, 3. The zones 2 and 3 are connected with each other by the heat- source side circuit 6 utilizing a boiler, a heat pump or the like as a heat source 5 and by the load-side circuit 8 containing an air conditioner 7, both circuits being closed circuits. Accordingly, the installing area for the tank 1 is reduced, the power of the pump can also be reduced and made uniform, and the operating efficiency can be enhanced.
