Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the width of a cutting groove of a workpiece uniform by placing a movable shutter in the path of a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A star-shaped shutter 2 is placed in the path of a laser beam (a) emitted from a laser emitter 1 and the beam (a) is intercepted alternately and transmitted by the star-shaped part. For this purpose, the shutter 2 is supported by a bracket 4 through a shaft 3 and the shaft 3 is directly connected to a rotating motor 5. A shutter cooling fan 6 is installed to the shaft 3. The bracket 4 is made movable on a screw stock 8 through an internal thread 7 provided on its bottom face by a shifting motor 11. In this way, the output of the beam (a) emitted on the workpiece (b) is changed and the width of cutting groove of the workpiece (b) is made uniform.
