Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition causing no problem of working environmental hygiene, toxicity of molded article, and coloring by deterioration in thermal processing, obtained by adding specific organometallic salt and chlorine-substituted carboxylic acid as low toxic stabilizers to a chlorine-containing resin.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. chlorine-containing resin is blended with (A) 0.01W 5pts.wt. of an organometallic salt selected from compounds of metals consisting of Ca, Ba, Mg, Sr, K, Na, Zn, and Sn, and (B) 0.001W3pts.wt. of a chlorine-substituted carboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of chloroacetic acid, 2- chloropropionic acid, and 3-chloropropionic acid. The addition of 0.01W3pts.wt. dicarbonyl compound shown by the formula (R1 and R3 are alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, etc., R2 is alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, etc., R1-R2, R2-R3, and R1-R3 may bond at the ends of molecule) improves further stabilizing effect.
