NEW MATERIAL:Prolyl- glutaminyl- glutaminyl- phenylalanyl- phenylalanyl- glycyl- leucyl-methioninamide of the formula and a salt thereof.
USE: A promoter for the gastroenteric movement having physiological actions, e.g. hypotensive action, reducing action on heart rate, contracting action on the ileum and contracting action on the antrum pyroli of the stomach.
PROCESS: Glutaminyl- glutaminyl-phenylalanyl-phenylalanyl-glycine is reacted with leucyl-methioninamide, and the resultant glutaminyl-glutaminyl-phenylalanyl-phenylalanyl-glycyl-leucyl-methioninamide is then reacted with proline to give the novel substance of the formula.
