Abstract

PURPOSE: To inexpensively produce a cable having spiral marks by printing straight marks on insulated cores, and cabling these with a twister having no twist returns.
CONSTITUTION: A conductor 2 is sent out from a core send-out device 1, is coated with an insulator 4 with an extruder 3, is applied with a straight mark 6 with a printer 5 and is taken-up to a take-up device 7. For example, vinyl chloride or the like is used for the insulator 4. Next, the taken-up insulated cores are cabled by using a twister having no twist returns which consists of insulated core send-out drums 8, a cabling die 9 and a take-up drum 10 and is of the system that the drum 10 is rotated by a cradle 11. As a result, the straight marks 6 printed on the insulated cores change to spiral marks 12. When the conductors 2 are stranded wires, the stranding direction and the cabling direction are made the same. Thereby, the extruding work and printing work of the insulators are accomplished simultaneously, the cost is lowered and the pickup of printing is improved.
