Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the ON/OFF control for the various types of AC power loads having the low and high impedance, by applying the output voltage of the power circuit to each gate control circuit of the duplex thyristor in synchronization with the polarity of the AC power source and in switching of the polarity. CONSTITUTION:AC power source 3 supplies the AC power to power circuit 4, and circuit 4 delivers the DC voltage. Polarity detecting circuit 11 detects the polarity of source 3 and then sends the control signal to polarity switching circuit 12. Circuit 12 switches the polarity of the output voltage of circuit 4 in synchronization with the polarity of source 3 to send it to each gate control circuit of the duplex thyristor. In such way, the ON/OFF control is possible for the various types of AC power loads having the low and high impedance.
