Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat suction gas and to atomize fuel, by arranging an inner cylinder offset away from a slow nozzle within a suction passage downstream of a carbureter, and mounting a heating body on the outer circumference of the inner cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: To the lower part of a suction air feeding passage 1 having a throttle valve 5, the slow nozzle 20, etc. is connected one end of a suction air feeding passage 2 the other end of which is in communication with a combustion chamber. Between the passage 1, 2 is supported an electrical insulating member 4, and into the member 4 is secured a flange section 6b of the inner cylinder 6 consisting of a metal plate. A cylindrical part 6a of the inner cylinder 6 is offset away from the slow nozzle 20 and carries on the outer circumference thereof a heating body 7 having positive resistance temperature characteristics so as to generally constitute the suction gas heater A.
