Abstract

PURPOSE:To give a language exercise function to a translator to extend the use range, by providing a control part which displays a translated language and an original on a display part alternately and by displaying the translated language and the original language alternately by depression of a translation button. CONSTITUTION:An English word from character keys 5 is input to a comparing circuit 7 and a switching circuit 2 through a register 3, and a button 26 for translation to Japanese is depressed to generate a pulse signal P1 from a pulse generating circuit 25. This signal P1 is applued to not only switching circuis 2 and 12 but also the circuit 7 and a read circuit 14 to drive these circuits, and a character code corresponding to the English word is read out from a file device 15 and is compared by the circuit 7 to output a pulse signal P3, and gate circuit 8-10 are controlled to display it on a display part 1. Further, a pulse signal P4 of prescribed intervals is generated from a pulse generating circuit 24, and an FF20 is controlled by this signal P4. Circuits 2 and 12 are switched by pulse signals Pa and Pb from pulse generating circuits 18 and 19 to which the output of the FF20 is input, and a switch 23 is controlled by the output of a counter 17, and thus, the translated language and the original language and displayed alternately on the display part 1.
