Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an accident caused by installation or failure of a thermistor, by detecting whether an output of the thermistor is normal or not, by the shift operation of an offset circuit, in a combustion controller for detecting a defect of the thermistor. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a thermistor circuit 5 for measuring a temperature of load, a circuit for generating an output corresponding to the output range of a thermistor, an offset circuit 4 for shifting the output range of the output generating circuit, a circuit for comparing the output generating circuit with an output of the thermistor, and a circuit for detecting a state of the thermistor in accordance with said output, so that whether the output of the thermistor is normal or not can be detected by the shift operation of the offset circuit 4. Accordingly, a fault of a thermistor RH can be detected by deciding whether it is within a prescribed temperature variation range or not.
