Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a polycarbonate resin molding having a high frictional wear resistance, by a method in which the surface of a polycarbonate resin is modified by a specific mixed gas plasma, then coated with an acrylic resin as an undercoat, again modified by the same mixed gas plasma, and lastly coated with a silane resin as a topcoat. CONSTITUTION:For a mixed gas plasma, any one of rare gas-oxygen mixture, rare gas-nitrogen mixture, and rare gas-nitrogen-oxygen mixture is used. As an acrylic resin undercoating agent, one or mixture of a compound of the formula, an acrylic acid derivative of the formula CH2=CHCOOR<3>, and a trialkoxysilane derivative of the formula R<4>Si(OR<5>)3 is used as the main component, and the main component is diluted with a solvent and used. As a silane topcoating agent, a hydrolyzed product of one or mixture of a tetraalkoxysilane of the formula Si(OR<6>)4 and a trialkoxysilane derivative of the formula R<7>Si(OR<8>)3 is diluted with a solvent and used.
