Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the size of system small through making possible electromagnetical damping of a passive radiator, without providing separately a damping magnetic circuit, by connecting a coil and passive radiator interlockingly provided in leaked magnetic flux of a magnetic circuit of a speaker. CONSTITUTION:A speaker having a diaphragm in whih a voice coil 13 is wound on a bobbin 14 bonded to a diaphragm plate 10 and a magnetic circuit consisting of a permanent magnet 15, a yoke 16 and a plate 17, is fitted to a cabinet 19 via inner and outer frames 12, 18. A passive radiator 20 is fitted to the frames 12, 18 with edges 21, 22, and a bobbin 24 of a coil 23 located in external leakage magnetic flux of said magnetic circuit is fitted to a link bar 25 to couple the coil 23 and the passive radiator 20 interlockingly. Thus, without providing another damping magnetic circuit other than the magnetic circuit of the speaker, the electromagnetic damping of the passive radiator can be made, which can be applied to a small size speaker system.
