Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the finished thickness, the shape, etc., coincide exactly with the aimed values, by subtracting an error inherent to a material to be rolled from a deviation of an actual thickness, etc., from the aimed values, and by controlling the residual error as an error of a setup model.
CONSTITUTION: A correction coefficient proper to a material to be rolled and a correction coefficient inherent to the mill of each stand are separately caught; then, a predicted value of the rolling load of the K-th trail prediction is computed by using a correction coefficient inherent to the material in the l-th stand corrected by an actual value and a predicted value of the rolling load of the (l-1)the stand when predicting the rolling load of the l-th stand in the K-th trial prediction, and a correction coefficient for the correction coefficient proper to the mill in the (k-1)th trial prediction. Accordingly, the correction coefficient proper to the material to be rolled in corrected for every stand; at predicting the rolling load of the next stand, the inherent error is more accurately removed; moverover, the correction coefficent proper to the mill of each stand is corrected for every rolling pass; hereby, a high correction function for the adaptability is realized by using a learning function of the computer.
