PURPOSE:To prevent the danger of hydrogen and oxygen mixing an reacting outside a fuel cell, in which an inflammable gas is used as a fuel, by making a storing case used for storing a plural number of fuel cells to be filled with an inactive gas, and by installing a gas detector in the storing case. CONSTITUTION:A unit cell group 2 consisting of fuel cells, which contain an inflammable gas such as LNG, LPG, H2 as a fuel and a gas containing oxygen as an oxidizing agent, is stored in a storing case 1. The case 1 is filled with an inactive gas such as nitrogen or argon. Besides, an inflammable gas detector 7 is installed in the case 1 in order to detect any gas leakage from the unit cell group 2.
