Abstract

PURPOSE:To give a control capacity to the transmitter side, by confirming the size of an original set in the receiver side at the transmitter side and carrying out a transmission of information from the transmitter side in accordance with the size of the original. CONSTITUTION:The control circuit part 14 of the receiver side receives the information on the size of a picture signal which is transmitted and informs it to a main computer 11. The computer informs the information to a print control part 16, and the part 16 gives a control to a perforation producing part 21 and an electrostatic printer 19. A transmitting device decides the rate of reduced scale with use of either one or both of the optical system and the electric system, and then codes the picture signal having the number of picture element signals of a reduced scale that is read decided from the picture information on an original. When this coded picture signal is transmitted from a transmitting device, the part 14 receives the picture signal and feeds it to a decoding part 15. The part 16 divides the picture signal into the number of picture signals having the size informed previously and supplies the picture signals successively to the printer 19.
