Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the power loss in a base current supplying circuit by connecting a series circuit of a reactor and a switching element to the base of a main transistor and controlling the switching element, thereby controlling the base current of the transistor to a set value. CONSTITUTION:The first switching element 8 and a diode 23 are connected in series with respect to a power source 1, and a series circuit of a reactor 25 and a current detector 18 is connected between the connecting point of the series circuit and the base of the main transistor 7 connected in series with the load 3 with respect to the power source 1. The second switching element 9 connected between the base and the emitter of the transistor is interrupted and controlled by a control signal from a controlling circuit 4, and the first switching element 8 is interrupted and controlled to maintain the base current of the transistor 7 produced from a current detector 18 at set value.
