Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the machining by a method wherein the gap control is given to correct the part machined when the required pulse discharge is repeated and the next pulse discharge is repeated in the corrected static gap. CONSTITUTION:Owing to the machining in a static gap, the machining gap is expanded gradually as the machining advances and the discharge starting becomes difficult more and more. Each discharge is detected by a resistance 8, discriminated by a discriminating circuit 9 and the number of the pulse thereof is counted by a counter 10. When counting being performed up to a preset number, the counter 10 outputs a signal, adding the signal from a shaping circuit 11 to an AND gate 7. Meanwhile, in the machining gap, a signal voltage is also detected constantly by a detecting resistance 5 and the signal therefor is added to and discriminated by a signal-generating circuit 6, which outputs a signal to reduce the gap expanded by the progress of machining, giving a driving signal to a motor 4 through the AND gate 7.
