Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify structure and ensure operation by connecting two valves of different whose flow rate to a filling chamber, in parallel. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust pipe P on one end of a fluorescent tube V is inserted in the filling chamber of a main unit 2. A great amount of inert gas is applied in the filling chamber C through a valve port 53a and a thruhole 25 and fed in the fluorescent pipe V from the exhaust pipe P. Then control pressure is supplied in a control chamber 58a and a diaphgram valve body 54a permits the side valve port 53a of a valve seat body 51a to close. On the other hand, a valve 56 is opened by releasing the pressure in the control chamber 58a in the air and a small amount of inert gas is fed from the small valve port 53a. Subsequently, a specified amount of mercury G is dropped from a mercury filling nozzle 71. Then a valve 5a opens in a short time and the mercury G in a groove 41 is charged into the fluorescent pipe V by the flow pressure of inert gas.
