Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the operational complexity of granulation for making the granulation of even fertilizers which are hard to be granulated easier by using methyoonine or its salt as a granulation accelerator for a granule compound fertilizer.
CONSTITUTION: In granulating the compound fertilizer, containing a combination of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium etc., as elements necessary for the growth of plant, methyonine or its salt is added as the granulation accelerator. The additive methyonine or its salt serving as a viscous nucleus material gives a viscosity to fertilizing substances, exhibiting a granulation accelerating effect. Thus, it raises the granulating degree of even the fertilizers which are hard to granulate, e.g., ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, etc., and therefore can reduce the operational complexity of granulation.
