Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the entire surface of a filter screen using a simply constructed cleaning device clean, by cleaning the surface of the filter screen with a liquid ejector pipe floating upon a buoyant body in the lquid surface of a liquid tank.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical filter screen 3 is arranged concentrically in a cylindrical water tank 2; a ring type liquid ejector pipe 41 is installed along the outer surface of the filter screen 3 keeping a suitable clearance; a ring type buoyant body 42 is installed so as to closely touch the bottom of the ejector pipe 41; and a hose 43 for connecting the ejector pipe 41 with a pump 44 is installed. Many liquid ejecting holes 45 are bored over the inner circumference of the ejector pipe 41 facing to an outer net 31; the buoyant body 42 is a foamed or a hollow synthetic resin made ring type body having a density smaller than that of the influent water, so that the buoyant body 41 makes the ejector pipe 41 floatable. With the descent of the water level, the ejector pipe 41 descends along an outer net 31 of the filter screen 3 and cleans the surface of the outer net 31.
