Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The metal O-ring is provided with a thick-walled portion 10 at the bottom, that is, at the side of the body flange. The surface of this portion is so inclined that the vent holes 7 is positioned at the lowest end of this inclination. As a result, water, entered into the ring through vent holes 7 during hydrostatic test, flows along the inclined surface of the thick-walled portion 10, after the hydrostatic test, and released out of the ring through the vent holes 7.
