Abstract
PURPOSE:To alleviate impact, by composing a belt of an expandable tubular body so that the belt, at the time of receiving an impact, displays not only its own restriction force but also a shock-arresting function by the air contained in the belt. CONSTITUTION:When a driver sat on a seat 6 and engagement between a locking mechanism 21 and a hook 4 was completed, a control device 11 is operated by a microswitch and a code to close an air supply electromagnetic valve 12, an air discharge electromagnetic valve 14 is opened to discharge air from a belt, and by doing so, fastening of the belt is completed. When an abnormal impact is caused to a car body by a collision, etc., by operation of a solenoid on the basis of sensing action of the control device 11 which senses an impact, emergency locking mechanisms on winding devices 5 and 7 are operated, and the driver's body becomes restricted by an emergency locking step. At the same time, by operation of a solenoid on the basis of the sensing action, the air supply electromagnetic valve 12 is opened to fill inside of the belt with air, so that a shock being applied to the driver is alleviated.
