Abstract

PURPOSE:To control accurately the positioning of an induction type geared motor by calculating in advance the moved amount per pulse of a signal from a revolution frequency detector and counting the number of pulses corresponding to the desired moving width, thereby controlling it in an open loop system. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor 1 is used with speed shifting mechanism of a worm as a drive source of a traverse unit, the signals from an operation mode setting unit DM and a tachometer generator 7 are compared by a comparator COM, triacs TR1, TR2 are controlled through a controlling circuit CON, thereby rotating the motor normally or reversely. The operating mode is converted from high speed to low speed by a position detector LS, the number of the pulses of the signal from a tachometer generator 7 is counted by a counter FF, is inputted to the circuit CON, thereby stopping the motor. Accordingly, it can accurately and inexpensively control the positioning of the moving amount per maximum one pulse under absolute control.
