Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the area of a fiber layer exposed to the belt side surface by bending and exposing both side parts of a canvas layer oriented and buried at the compressed part along the circumferential direction of the belt side surface, in a low edge V-belt formed by burying a short fiber group and the canvas layer in compressed rubber.
CONSTITUTION: In the V-belt, rope tension members 1 of a low elongation and a high strength are buried in parallel at a tensile part consisting of upper and lower bonding rubber layers 2 and 3, and a compressed part 4 is arranged at the lower part of this tensile part.
