Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect ventilation efficiently without bothering a man by a method wherein the ventilator is provided with a duct, a control means and both upper and lower sensors to sense the airconditioned degree of a room with both of the upper and lower sensors and an automatic operation of the ventilation is effected in accordance with the degree of sensing of the sensors.
CONSTITUTION: A ventilating fan consisting of a fan 1 and a motor 2 is secured to a penetrating hole in a wall and a duct is connected to the suction side of the ventilating fan at the upper part 5 thereof. The duct is attached to an ordinary floor surface at the downward position of the upper part 5 thereof. The lower part 6 having a lower opening 11 is connected to the duct. A damper 8, opening and closing the upper opening 10 of the upper part 5 of the duct and the inner passage of the duct selectively, is provided between the upper part 5 and the lower part 6 of the duct so as to be openable and closable by an opener 9. The sensors 4, 7 are provided at the upper and lower parts of the duct respectively. When the necessity of the ventilation of the room is detected by these sensors 4, 7, the damper 8 closes the upper opening 10 at first to discharge air forcibly through the lower opening 11, thereafter, the upper opening 10 is opened to discharge the air.
