Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the speed of a copying process by counting the timing pulses in a microcomputer-controlled copying machine by a counter which operates independently from the operation of the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:An extension input-output interface 26 is provided to the output of a microcomputer 25, and various loads of a copying machine are connected thereto via a buffer group 27 and a driver group 29 and are energized according to the copying process by the control signal from the microcomputer 25. Timing pulses generated synchronously with the revolutions of a photoreceptor 5, its driving motor, etc. are inputted by an encoder 41 to the T1 terminal of the microcomputer 25, and are counted by a counter which operates independently from the operation of the microcomputer 25 in the computer 25, thereby deciding the timings energizing the respective loads and performing sequence controlling. Hence, the increased speed and the adaptation to diversified functions are achieved by the elimination of interrupt processing.
