Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a clathrate composition containing stable and hydrophilic vitamin E simply, by mixing the vitamin E with cyclodextrin.
CONSTITUTION: A saturated aqueous solution of cyclodextrin is mixed with a solution containing vitamin E or a natural vegetable oil containing the vitamin E dissolved in a small amount of an organic solvent, e.g. methanol, at room temperature to 70°C, and cooled or concentrated to form a precipitate, which is then filtered to afford a clathrate composition containing the vitamin E. The molar composition ratio between the vitamin E and the cyclodextrin is 1:1 or more, preferably 1:1W3.
USE: A medicine effective for the remedy of peripheral circulatory disorder and pregnant dysfunction and the remedy and prevention of increase in lipoperoxide or an animal feed additive.
