Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a base material for joining by brazing which is so arranged as to permit easy joining by brazing on a building site, etc. by beforehand sticking a braze in the parts to be joined of plate materials, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The parts 4 corresponding to joining parts of a blank material 3 such as copper plate are polished by buffs 4 to get rid of grease etc., thence they are heated to prescribed temp. by heating rollers 6. Flux is coated by flux coaters 7 on these heated parts 4, and the material is passed through the inside of a brazing tank containing molten braze, and is transferred to a forming stage by guide rollers 9, where it is formed to a prescribed shape. At this time, the braze stuck on parts other than the parts 4 is removed by a scraper 10. The base material made by this method is formed to a flat plate, a U-shaped section, a folded plate, a roll, a roof sheathing, etc., depending upon the modes of use. If this base material is applied with necessary heat and pressure on a site, it is uniformly soldered.
