Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a smooth feeding operation in the feed screw shaft device by connecting a nut member and movable member by means of a connecting member which can absorb a dimensional variation in the radial direction of the feeding screw shaft and tilt toward the shaft intersecting direction of the feeding screw shaft.
CONSTITUTION: The feed screw shaft device applied to a contour gauge includes a feed screw shaft 14 which is rotatably supported between a pair of supporters 12 and 13 and driven by the rotation of a motor 20 through pulleye 17 and 19 and a belt 18. At an intermediate point in the feed screw shaft 14 is screwed the nut member 23, which has a shaft 27 projecting from the center of the lower side thereof. Between the supporters 12 and 13, there is further provided a guide shaft 16, which supports slidably a slider 29 as the movable member through a bush 28. On the upper part of the slider 29 is mounted a ball bearing 32 through a mounting plate 23. The ball bearing 32 comprises a ball 30 and a ball seat 31. The ball 30 has a hole pierced in the center through which the above-mentioned shaft 27 is inserted to constitute the connecting member 34.
